Court-ordered limits on how a GST raid may be conducted

Genesis Enterprises v. Principal Commissioner CGST Delhi East — W.P.(C) 13821/2025 & 8 connected matters (Del. HC, 15.9.2025)

After a CGST raid on a family’s home and business, we obtained four safeguards from the Delhi High Court: home CCTV footage may be viewed only with the family present, and the rest returned; officers cannot enter using a tenant’s keys without the owner’s knowledge; locks may be broken only after written reasons are recorded; and officers must use official channels, not WhatsApp.
